I’m on my second week of school at De La Salle University… It’s really great, but since I’m a glass-half empty type of person this is going to be me complaining.
The Tuition
It was fucking 65,000! My friend Jhen goes to LI for COB and and her tuition is 17,000 and shes taking more credits than me. I’m doing 20 credits and she’s doing 27… I better be getting some top notch education for the money I’m spending.
My Schedule
My schedule was super fucked up. I had school from Monday to Saturday, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays it was only one class… what a waste of time and pamasahe especially since I live all the way in Sta Mesa and I commute.
I had to get a schedule change, it wasn’t expensive, it was like 200 or something, but it was such a long and ridiculous process. I had to wait in this line for two hours and then walk back and forth from the accounting office to the printing place:(
My new schedule sucks too because I have huge gaps in between my classes, I even had time to watch a movie with Abby during one of the in-between times. And I have class as late as 7pm so I don’t get off school till 9pm. Mondays and Thursdays I have school from 8am-9pm!
On the bright side though, I get Saturdays and Sundays off and I can go to Laguna to visit a certain someone;) and I get Wednesdays off as a bonus… except my ENGLCOM teacher is trying to have classes on Wednesdays for us cause hes gonna be gone or something… I’m very disappointed.
The People
I only have international friends… as cool as they are, I’m upset that none of the Filipinos want to talk to me.
The Campus
Most of my classes are in Andrew and there are lines for the elevator! In the mornings I walk up 7 flights of stairs so I wont be late for class. Also the school store is in the 21st floor for some weird reason(let’s not even go through the process of actually BUYING things) and not all of the merchandise is there, you have to go to different places for different things!
And I’m really not fond of seeing homeless people scattered around the school begging for money. I feel like if I give one of them money, I have to give all of them money, and lets be honest there’s A LOT of them in the front of the campus.
I’m sure there’s more but this is all I can think of right now. Haha sorry for the vent… Oh the dress code sucks! Why the hell can’t we wear flip-flops or shortys? And I hate that I can’t buy a new ID or I’ll have a minor offense! I just hate my picture okay?
